Description:
The word ¢‚¬˜Gabbeh¢‚¬„¢ literally means raw or uncut in Farsi. Gabbehs were a style of rugs made for hundreds of years in Iran by nomadic weaving communities depicting simple themes from their everyday life. These rugs were meant for personal use and never meant to be formal or sophisticated like those from Persian regions like Kashan or Isfahan. The rugs were a result of the skill and craftsmanship of the individual weaver.
Note: Slight color variation in image and actual carpet is to be expected.
